Kent’s industrial buildings were built in the asbestos decades. Pre-2000 units across Gravesend, Dartford and Sittingbourne all have roofs, cladding and linings that need to be on your radar.
We build the programme around your business. Phased areas, out-of-hours slots, live-site segregation and full RAMS before mobilisation. Tenants carry on; landlords get the paperwork they need.
All RAMS and waste notifications are handled
Fragile-roof controls used on every roof job
Four clear stages take your warehouse from initial survey through to a fully documented, certified handover, with minimal disruption to trading.
A surveyor works through the building against your plans, logging every asbestos-containing material across the roof, cladding, linings and flues, then agrees a phasing plan that keeps your operation running throughout.
A written fixed price covering the full programme, RAMS outline and waste-routing plan, issued within 48 hours of the survey visit.
Trained teams remove sheeting and linings intact under fragile-roof protocols and containment controls. Work zones are segregated so the rest of the unit continues to function while each phase is completed.
Waste is consigned to a licensed facility, a full documentation pack is issued, and where the work category requires it, independent asbestos air testing is completed before areas are handed back into use.
Phased and out-of-hours delivery is standard practice, not something we do as a special arrangement.
RAMS, notifications, consignment notes and clearance records assembled into one audit-ready pack.
Pair the strip-out with our Re-Roofs Kent service and the building is weathertight again without a gap between contractors.
The certificate your managing agent or insurer will ask for is sent before we mobilise.
FAQS
In most cases, yes. Work zones are physically segregated, phased sections are scheduled around your operational areas, and roof work is carried out outside trading hours where needed. The survey is where we sit down and design the programme around your racking layout, routes and shift patterns.
If the building is non-domestic and pre-dates 2000, yes. Regulation 4 of CAR 2012 places a duty to manage asbestos on whoever controls the premises. If no current register exists, asbestos management surveys are the starting point and we can turn one around quickly when there is a deadline involved.
Not necessarily. Cement roofing that is in sound condition can often be managed in place, coated or over-sheeted as an interim measure. Where it is failing, leaking or standing in the way of a transaction or refurbishment, removal and replacement is the cleanest answer. We will give you an honest assessment of the options with realistic costs for each route.
Non-licensed work requires none. NNLW must be notified to the enforcing authority before work starts. Licensed work runs under a 14-day HSE notification through a licensed contractor. We identify the correct category at survey stage and manage whichever notification process applies.
Yes. We slot into main-contractor programmes regularly, issue our RAMS for inclusion in their documentation pack, and sequence removal so that following trades are not held up. Share the programme with us and we will return specific dates.
It is still fixed. We would rather carry out a thorough survey and commit to a firm figure than bill day-rates that creep upward. Phased projects are priced per phase so your budget and our programme stay in step throughout.
No. They are built into the fixed quotation from the outset rather than added as a premium afterwards. You will see the full programme cost before you commit, regardless of which hours the work runs.
A complete pack per phase: RAMS, any notifications submitted, consignment notes, clearance records where air testing applied, and an updated register extract. Everything is formatted for audit and issued without you having to chase for it.
We carry out asbestos removal across Kent, from the trading estates around Dartford and Gravesend in the north to the industrial sites around Ashford and Folkestone in the south, and every unit across the county in between.
